The Role:

Responsible for assisting daily operations and overall business objectives in the Music Hall.

What You'll Do:

  1. Monitor the labor cost of the shift, paying close attention to overtime
  2. Accurate accounting close-out of special events
  3. Checking accuracy of labor system at the end of the shift
  4. Maintain appropriate atmosphere (lights, sound level, room temperature, cleanliness, line of sight, table maintenance, room capacity)
  5. Conduct operations with a Guest First mindset
  6. Ensure all recap forms are submitted to accounting
  7. Ensure that Blues Buster is set up for success
  8. Perform opening, ongoing and closing duties
  9. Conduct daily pre-shift in an upbeat and motivational manner
  10. Perform daily liquor pulls for bar staff
  11. Ensure all cash drawers have appropriate change
  12. Log nightly sales and operational issues in Manager Log Book, either manually or online
  13. Conduct safety, cleaning and maintenance walk-through – interior and exterior of building
  14. Check ticket counts with box office before shift begins
  15. Check email and mail box for current information
  16. Update Contact Log at the end of the shift
  17. Familiarize self with event sheets
  18. Facilitate proper inter-departmental communication and organization

What You'll Need:

Required:

  1. Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent
  2. High school diploma or equivalent
  3. Ability to work late hours
  4. Flexible schedule including regularly working evenings/nights
  5. 3 years supervisory experience in high volume restaurant/music hall environment
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Point of Sales system, preferably MICROS
  7. Knowledge of state, federal and local liquor laws and health code regulations
  8. Ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety minded manner
  9. Tolerance of all cultures, music and art forms
  10. Skilled in decision making, leadership, guest relations, interpersonal communications, organization, team building, time management, and staff management
  11. Ability to motivate staff, problem solve, lead, delegate, follow up, deal with volatile situations with tact and confidence

Preferred:

  1. At least 2 years experience with a national restaurant chain
  2. Experience in a live music environment
  3. College diploma in related field

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  1. Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful
  2. Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet
  3. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques
