The Mimes and Mummers at Fordham University are seeking:

Director and Music Director for

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Andrew Lloyd Weber and Tim Rice

(Performances 2/20/25-2/23/25)

**Must be available to begin auditions no later than 1/15/24.

Director for

Children’s Hour

Lillian Hellman

We have not yet obtained rights for this show, so this is pending rights.

(Performances 4/3/25 - 4/6/25)

**Must be available to begin auditions no later than 2/24/25.

Please be aware that we do not rehearse in person over academic breaks (3/15-3/23).

Required Qualifications:

1. Proven experience as a Theater Director or Assistant Director in professional or academic settings.
2. Experience working with actors to create a safe, respectful, and professional environment.
3. Knowledge of industry-standard practices for safety in theater.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Certification or specialized training in intimacy coordination, stage combat, and/or choreography.
2. Experience in a variety of theatrical genres, from drama to physical theater.
3. Familiarity with inclusive practices and a commitment to creating accessible theater for all artists and audiences.

Available to commute to the Bronx for weekly rehearsals. Rehearsals are generally held on 4 weekday evenings (6PM-10PM) and one weekend day (12PM-4PM).

Deadline for Applications: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The deadline to apply is 12/27/24. Interviews will be conducted in early January.

The salary is set at $3,800. No additional transportation stipends will be provided.
