Position: News Director
Job Description: Community First Broadcasting dba Sioux County Radio is hiring a News Director at our studio in Sioux Center! If you're passionate about news gathering and delivery, we'd love to talk to you! This full-time position includes writing news stories, composing newscasts, and communicating local severe weather safety notifications to your coverage area. As News Director, you'll also co-host, executive produce, and coordinate guest scheduling for The Daily Grind program. Other duties include reporting quarterly issues, maintaining our community calendar, and more as assigned.
Qualifications: The qualified candidate must be an excellent reader, writer, and communicator. Broadcast experience is preferred, but training will be offered to the perfect energetic candidate. Optimal organizational skills are a must.
Work Schedule: The position requires a variable 40-hour work week with base hours of 8am to 5pm daily, but will be adjusted for off-campus meetings, live remote newscasts on location, or severe weather coverage.
