Duties:
BayPort Credit Union is searching for a Card Services Manager. The primary purpose of this position is to oversee our credit and debit card operations. The Card Services Manager will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the card services department, ensuring exceptional member service, and implementing strategies to enhance card usage and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of card processing systems, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance, and a commitment to providing excellent member experiences.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SUPPORTING DUTIES:
- Supervise and lead the card services team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective card services operations.
- Monitor and manage department budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Oversee the issuance, activation, and management of credit cards, debit cards & prepaid cards.
- Manage relationships with card networks, processors, and vendors to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Address and resolve member inquiries and disputes related to card services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve member satisfaction and card usage.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote card products and services & processes.
- Monitor and analyze card transaction data to identify and mitigate fraudulent activities.
- Work with card processor and CU compliance & IT departments to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including PCI-DSS standards.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in fraud prevention and card security.
- Prepare and present regular reports on card services performance, including transaction volumes, fraud incidents, and member feedback.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced member experiences.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
Required Education: High school degree plus some post-secondary coursework in Business Administration or related field or combination of education and work experience.
Required Experience: 5-7 years’ experience related to the primary functions of the position. 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory role.
