This role provides leadership for staff and accountability for assigned operations. In conjunction with the unit leadership, works to improve the quality of patient care, strengthens the financial performance of the department, and improve patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. Serves as a role model and provides clinical expertise to the department. Demonstrates effective skills in communication, advocacy, and promoting a shared vision. Identifies safety concerns and institutes measures to provide a safe environment for patient and staff.

Required Experience

Required:
  • Current California RN license
  • BSN and a master's degree in nursing or related field or certificate in nursing or health care administration from a nationally accredited organization
  • 3 years of full time clinical nursing experience at least one year in NICU
  • 2 years Supervisor experience
  • BLS from American Heart Association
  • Neonatal Resuscitation from AAP and AHA
  • Experience in CPQCC and CCS data entry requirements.
  • LA City Fire Card within six months of hire
Preferred:
  • Clinical certifications preferred for applicable units, i.e. ACLS, NRP, PALS, etc.
  • Previous Management experience preferred
