GO PR is seeking a driven Senior Account Supervisor to join its GO TEAM. In this position, you will work closely with team members across the Agency and report directly to the Founder on a portfolio of acclaimed hospitality clients that span hotels, restaurants/bars, and destinations around the globe. Our best-in-class client roster includes Freehand Hotels, Walker Hotels, Marram Montauk, BodyHoliday in St. Lucia, Shinola Hotel in Detroit, and Montréal - among others. The ideal hire excels at consistently providing thoughtful communication in a fast-paced, autonomous environment with a desire to grow with the Company as it rapidly expands. The Agency specializes in media relations and creative programming/brand collaborations, often marrying clients with non-traditional travel clients for unique, press-worthy campaigns. Responsibilities:
- Thoughtfully manage client business for a robust roster of accounts; collaborating with the Founder for oversight but serving as the day-to-day lead as assigned.
- Oversee PR initiatives and in-market activations, including media tours and interviews, press trips and events, creative campaigns, and partnerships.
- Lead teams by providing clear, focused guidance for deliverables.
- Write client plans and take an active role with new business proposals.
- Help lead brainstorms for creative ideas and strategies to enhance PR campaigns.
- Research, write, edit and distribute press materials, client bios, and curated pitches; and mentor direct reports in doing the same.
- Maintain a high level of industry and media awareness, keeping abreast of media moves, lifestyle trends, and the news cycle.
- Develop and maintain client relationships, staying in tune with the goals and results against the scope of work.
- Oversee account teams on thoughtful and accurate administrative work including list building, agendas, reaps, account reporting, etc.
- Oversee and assist with event organization including RSVP list, face sheets, event listings, staffing.
- If there is interest, oversee and support assigned direct reports, including employees at the Account Executive, Account Coordinator, and/or Intern levels; collaborate with the Founder on reviews and growth path for direct reports as well as addressing performance challenges.
- Attend conferences and events on behalf of GO PR and build personal network.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years PR agency experience, directly related to the hospitality field, is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Based in New York.
- Passion for hospitality and travel.
- Demonstrable ability to advise and counsel clients.
- Active, demonstrable, and strong existing media relationships in the hospitality sector and dedication to developing new media relationships, visiting clients & making beneficial new relationships for GO PR.
- Effective pitching skills and results garnered from proactive pitching efforts.
- Ability to anticipate needs, identify problems and advise on solutions for the benefit of clients, account group, and agency operations.
- Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Displays a sense of urgency, ownership, and drive to get things done.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with multiple pressing obligations and urgent deadlines, deftly navigating shifting priorities.
- Ability to develop and present effective PR plans and client programs.
- Willingness to visit clients and travel for company obligations and to develop new media relationships.
- Experience successfully driving media relations and thought-leadership campaigns.
- Strong time management and project management skills.
- Must be able to occasionally work night/weekend hours for client events.
- Experience with relevant industry software: Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides), Cision, Muckrack, etc.
