AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are looking for a smart, enthusiastic, and creative thought leader with a strong background in outbound product management or business development to define, develop and deliver the scaling strategy for AWS Support related products and services. The ideal candidate will clearly be passionate about the large opportunity that the cloud (AWS) space presents, with a track record of success in delivering products and services for the IT industry. The candidate is a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in defining the go-to-market strategy for our services, increasing support adoption and revenues and tirelessly champion the needs of our customers.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Product Launch & Positioning: Develop and execute product launch strategies, and create compelling product messaging that resonates with customers and differentiates our products in the market.
  2. Sales Process: Co-own goals around Sales Pipeline, conversion and revenue with sales and product teams. Provide feedback to improve the Sales Process.
  3. Sales Enablement: Collaborate with the sales team to create sales collateral and tools, and provide training to ensure a successful go-to-market strategy.
  4. Market Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends and competitive landscape, and provide actionable insights to shape product strategy and positioning.
  5. Customer Engagement: Engage with customers, partners, and industry influencers to gather feedback and promote our products effectively.
  6. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product development, marketing, and other internal teams to align goals and drive successful product execution.

A day in the life of an Outbound Product Manager involves analyzing customer support requirements for key industries and verticals, building a “support solution” that combines various capabilities into an offering tailored for a specific industry, working with senior sales leaders to incorporate these solutions into the sales strategy, and managing pipeline/conversion. The Outbound PM monitors our go-to-market motions and ensures that we are building strategic initiatives that help us scale the business non-linearly.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of professional or military experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
