The Job
Warner Bros. Studio Operations seeks a Vice President for the Studio Protection Group. This person will be part of the leadership team that supports Warner Bros. businesses on the main lot and surrounding locations and personnel in the areas of Security, Fire, Medical and Emergency Services. They serve as the security subject matter expert to all aspects of WB business and ensure appropriate levels of security support are provided to Warner Bros. and WarnerMedia companies. The expectation of this position is to provide oversight and expertise in matters related to the protection of people, facilities and corporate brand of Warner Bros. with integrity that is collaborative and professional.

The Daily
  • Assures quality, consistency and efficiency of security processes for operations/infrastructure, prevention, and crisis response across Warner Bros. by providing "hands on" leadership for all Security functions. Provide subject matter expertise and work with senior business leaders to evaluate security staff, ensuring a high level of talent and upgrading where necessary.
  • Collaborate with Warner Bros. Emergency Services planners to ensure a seamless process exists to implement appropriate responses to both minor and major crises.
  • Further develop and implement a Threat Management team and develop an intelligence-based threat assessment process that serves all WB business units across all geographic boundaries, including Warner Media Security collaborations. Including the development, implementation and support of an International security program.
  • Conduct investigations and manage threats directed at Warner Bros. personnel, facilities, and activities in collaboration with Warner Bros. Security Investigations team.
  • Represent the Senior VP, Global Security as well as Warner Bros. in liaison efforts with local, state, and federal law enforcement, intelligence agencies and other related government agencies. Maintain relationships.
  • Represent the Senior VP, Global Security as well as Warner Bros. in liaison efforts with other entertainment companies with an intent to understand best security practices.
  • Build and maintain a network of security vendors, resources and consultants to augment existing capabilities and to use as appropriate.

The Essentials
  • Minimum 4-year Degree from an accredited College or University.
  • Graduate Degree or attendance to a recognized leadership program preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 10 years of Federal, State, or Local Law enforcement experience, with at least 5 years at the executive leadership level or Minimum 10 years of private security experience with at least 5 years at the executive leadership level.
  • Experience or understanding of developing security strategies in a private industry environment, criminal investigation with a clear understanding of the investigative process and managing threats to persons and/or organizations.
  • Experience in developing and managing a criminal intelligence collection program.
  • Experience in conducting security and/or law enforcement activity in an international environment.
  • Experience in planning and managing security for public events and budget development and management.
  • Strong, proven leadership skills in a diverse environment.
  • Willingness and ability to be a "working leader".
  • Clear understanding of successfully operating in a collaborative environment.
  • Possesses the knowledge, skills, and ability to understand the current threat environment and to conduct meaningful threat assessments.
  • Knowledge of working with employees represented by a collective bargaining agreement.
  • Maintain collaborative and productive relationships with "customers" at all levels within the Warner Bros. organization.
  • This person must be able to understand how to effectively collaborate with the diverse business models represented in Warner Bros. Burbank and across the globe.
  • Be able to understand the basic functions of a private Fire and First Aid department and how best to apply those support mechanisms to an entertainment-based model.
