The Studio Door art gallery welcomes submissions from Southern California and Baja mid-career & established artists with an emphasis on painting, mixed media, sculpture, and photography. Submissions will be considered for group exhibition only. The Studio Door does not offer solo shows.

Artists are mainly selected for exhibition by invitation and upon submissions it receives, with a preference to artists who have participated in other programming at The Studio Door and from community partnerships.

We are a commerce-based gallery, so artwork must be available for sale to patrons. Artists are encouraged to consider their price points when submitting their interest. Based upon past experience, art sales in this community remain strongest under $2,500, with $500 being the average first-time patron purchase. The main gallery commission structure is a 50/50 split.

Please note that the gallery is typically scheduled six months to a year in advance.

Due to the high volume of requests, we cannot provide individual critiques, but all submissions will be seriously considered. We accept electronic submissions by email only. No walk-in submissions, please.
