Technical DIrector Job at United Soccer Coaches in Council Bluffs

Job Description:

Responsible for the overall management and strategic direction of the soccer aspects of a club. They oversee the club’s operations including player recruitment, coach development, performance analysis, sport science, and strategic planning. They are responsible for developing and implementing long-term plans to ensure the club’s success both on and off the pitch, playing the long game to help the club plan for tomorrow, while taking care of today.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Build an Annual Budget with Finance Committee
2. Administration of Technical Programs
3. Work with program directors to recruit, retain and develop the club’s coaching pool
4. Establish an annual coach-development program that aligns with player development model
5. Build a club player development model and curriculum to be implemented in Recreational and Competitive programs
6. Create an annual technical plan that aligns with the Board’s Strategic Plan & Values
7. Administration of Iowa West Sports Plex
8. Oversee day-to-day operations of the facility
9. In conjunction with Club Administration manage all IWSP Staff
10. Event planning and recruitment
11. Oversee annual schedule
12. Represents and promotes the club in the community
13. Other duties as assigned by the Board of Directors

Minimum Requirements:

1. Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
2. Ability to work nights and weekends
3. Minimum 5 yrs experience in Director role
4. Minimum USSF B License or equivalent
5. Minimum Bachelor's Degree
6. Proficiency with Microsoft and/or Google Suites
7. Event and league management experience
8. Strong leadership and communication skills
9. Ability to meet physical requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

1. 10 yrs experience in Director role
2. USSF A License, or equivalent
3. Master in Business Administration
4. Facility Management experience
5. Fluent in Spanish
