At Copart, you will work on projects large and small that have an enormous impact on our business. As part of the Design team, you will be responsible for all or some of the following:

• Solving complex problems and helping to define the user experience of features from initial ideas to production-ready designs.
• Taking a project from end-to-end, delivering your solutions in tangible formats such as sketches, prototypes, wireframes, and production-ready UI Designs.
• Making use of user research and quantitative data to make informed decisions.
• Participating and delivering on the day-to-day production of design solutions.
• Helping create, work with, maintain, and challenge our design system.
• Working across both Desktop and Mobile, with the ability to adapt quickly to each platform's needs.
• Collaborating with various teams and project owners across Design, Marketing, Product, and Engineering.

Duties:

• The ability to communicate your decisions and back them with data and real-world examples and/or experiences.
• The ability to receive a problem, explore its various possible solutions, and own your recommendations to stakeholders.
• A passion for fighting for the user -- from power-users to the disabled. You believe no user should be forgotten when looking for solutions and have an eye for finding edge cases.
• You have strong fundamentals that are shown in your portfolio.
• You are a self-starter and can manage your time well. You're able to handle many projects and own your schedule and deadlines.
• A love of learning. You see iteration as a steppingstone towards a solution. You do not get discouraged when you see users fail to understand your concepts; you learn from it.
• You realize that not all the best ideas will be your ideas and you thrive on the pursuit of the best possible product. You will not settle for "Ok."
• You are great at building and maintaining relationships with Engineers and PMs. You understand that this is a team effort and can effectively communicate and work with IT partners to create the best possible products.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of experience as a UX/UI or Product Designer.
• Proficient in UI tools such as Figma (preferably), Sketch, or XD.
• Experience with prototyping and hand-off tools like Zeplin, Figma, Marvel, and Invision.
• An understanding of design constraints on both Web and Mobile. The ability to write HTML/SASS/JS is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
