We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our client's dynamic team, with the flexibility to work from either Philadelphia or Austin, TX.
This role requires a creative individual who is comfortable working within a hybrid team environment, collaborating closely with a remote manager and director. As a key player in our client's product design process, you will be responsible for crafting user interfaces that are not only visually stunning but also deliver an exceptional user experience.
Responsibilities:
- Own the user interface design process: Identify problems, propose solutions, and execute UI improvements to enhance user experience.
- Create pixel-perfect, world-class user interfaces with eye-catching visual designs that meet both usability and accessibility standards.
- Deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced, agile product environment.
- Produce interactive prototypes for internal experimentation and usability testing, rigorously testing UI through a data-driven approach.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles, working closely with visual and interface design teams.
- Apply deep user experience insights to recommend UI features that effectively address customer needs.
- Write intuitive style guides and design specifications to ensure seamless engineering implementation.
- Provide ongoing support, communicate effectively, and revise designs as needed during the development phase.
- Maintain an obsessive attention to detail and a critical eye throughout the design process.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors
- A portfolio showcasing recent e-commerce designs is required; experience with mobile sites, apps, and tablet designs is a plus.
- 5-8 years of UI and visual design experience within a digital agency or product team.
- Proven experience in leading the development of comprehensive and versatile digital design systems.
- Expertise in iconography, symbol design, and data visualization.
- Advanced typesetting and typographic design skills.
- Deep knowledge of cross-platform web/mobile usability standards and UI specifications.
- Understanding of design and technical capabilities/limitations of leading email and browser technologies.
- Ability to take a project from conceptual stages through to final production assets.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong collaboration skills, particularly with copywriters and business stakeholders, to ensure successful marketing-related launches.
