UX/UI Designer III

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania or Austin, Texas

Compensation Range: $56.07 - 63.55 per hour

We are seeking a talented UX/UI Designer to join our client's dynamic team, with the flexibility to work from either Philadelphia or Austin, TX.

This role requires a creative individual who is comfortable working within a hybrid team environment, collaborating closely with a remote manager and director. As a key player in our client's product design process, you will be responsible for crafting user interfaces that are not only visually stunning but also deliver an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Own the user interface design process: Identify problems, propose solutions, and execute UI improvements to enhance user experience.
2. Create pixel-perfect, world-class user interfaces with eye-catching visual designs that meet both usability and accessibility standards.
3. Deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines in a fast-paced, agile product environment.
4. Produce interactive prototypes for internal experimentation and usability testing, rigorously testing UI through a data-driven approach.
5. Demonstrate a strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles, working closely with visual and interface design teams.
6. Apply deep user experience insights to recommend UI features that effectively address customer needs.
7. Write intuitive style guides and design specifications to ensure seamless engineering implementation.
8. Provide ongoing support, communicate effectively, and revise designs as needed during the development phase.
9. Maintain an obsessive attention to detail and a critical eye throughout the design process.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelors
2. A portfolio showcasing recent e-commerce designs is required; experience with mobile sites, apps, and tablet designs is a plus.
3. 5-8 years of UI and visual design experience within a digital agency or product team.
4. Proven experience in leading the development of comprehensive and versatile digital design systems.
5. Expertise in iconography, symbol design, and data visualization.
6. Advanced typesetting and typographic design skills.
7. Deep knowledge of cross-platform web/mobile usability standards and UI specifications.
8. Understanding of design and technical capabilities/limitations of leading email and browser technologies.
9. Ability to take a project from conceptual stages through to final production assets.
10. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Strong collaboration skills, particularly with copywriters and business stakeholders, to ensure successful marketing-related launches.
