Our practice is seeking a highly qualified UI/UX Lead with experience in developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. Our Developers have a passion for high-quality, reliable, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users.

Location: Raleigh, NC

Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of design systems to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
  • Oversee the creation and management of design systems ensuring they align with the company brand guidelines and user experience goals.
  • Provide expert guidance on experience design POV leveraging industry best practices to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to create intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
  • Utilize Figma to design and prototype user interfaces ensuring seamless user experiences across various devices and screen sizes.
  • Apply UI design patterns to create user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing interfaces that meet user needs and business objectives.
  • Employ Adobe XD to develop interactive prototypes that effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
  • Implement responsive web design principles to ensure optimal user experiences on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Integrate visual design elements and fundamentals to create cohesive and visually compelling digital experiences.
  • Develop and maintain visual branding guidelines to ensure a consistent and recognizable brand presence across all digital touchpoints.
  • Conduct heuristic reviews to identify usability issues and recommend improvements to enhance user experience.
  • Drive creative design initiatives for websites and apps ensuring they align with the company strategic goals and user needs.
  • Apply Adobe Photoshop to create high-quality visual assets that enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a minimum of 8 years of experience in experience design with a strong focus on design system management and creation.
  • Should possess advanced skills in Figma, Adobe XD, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Must have expertise in UI design patterns, responsive web design, and visual design elements and fundamentals.
  • Should have experience in visual branding and heuristic review.
  • Nice to have experience in creative design for websites and apps.
  • Should be able to work effectively in a hybrid work model with a day shift schedule.
  • Must be able to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
  • Should have a strong portfolio showcasing previous work in experience design and visual branding.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Should have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be proactive and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Should be passionate about creating user-centric designs that drive business success.

Certifications Required

  • Certified Experience Designer, Adobe Certified Expert, Figma Professional Certification.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337K – $141,500K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
