On behalf of our Financial client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our client on a 9-month contract with potential for renewal.

Summary of the Role:

We are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer with expertise in user research, information architecture, and design execution. The successful candidate will bring experience managing stakeholders and delivering high-quality designs for complex, dedicated products within reputable companies. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, requiring up to one day per week onsite in either Toronto or Vancouver.

Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Conduct user research and define information architecture to inform design strategies.
2. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align designs with business goals and user needs.
4. Present design concepts and collect feedback from stakeholders to refine solutions.
5. Ensure consistency and usability across all designs while adhering to regulatory standards.

Core Requirements:

1. 5+ years of UX/UI design experience in mid-to-large-sized teams working on dedicated products.
2. Proficiency in Figma for wireframing and prototyping.
3. Demonstrated stakeholder management skills.
4. Experience delivering designs in highly regulated environments (excluding banking or financial services).
5. Portfolio showcasing complex design projects—links or PDFs required with application.

Desired Skills & Experience:

1. Experience in user research methodologies and usability testing.
2. Knowledge of accessibility standards and responsive design principles.
3. Background in enterprise-level software design.

Terms:

This is a 9-month contract with potential for renewal. The role follows a hybrid work model with up to one day onsite per week in either Toronto or Vancouver. Candidates must provide two professional references and undergo a background check before receiving an offer.
