UI/UX Designer at Trimble in Westminster, CO

About the position: You will be helping to support the dynamic development of Modus, Trimble's Design System, style guide and component library. We are looking for a UX designer with great visual design chops and an eye for detail. We offer a supportive and fun team, access to a growing UX/UI infrastructure, where you will contribute to help design and combine patterns from across many products into a central style guide and pattern library. You will be exposed to a number of applications and design challenges, working with stakeholders and development teams across the globe. This is a position for a UI/UX designer who is looking to learn about the challenges of instituting a design system in a complex, user-driven, enterprise landscape and creating a strong visual brand and presence across hundreds of products.

What you will be asked to do:

1. Work closely with the Design Systems Product Manager and the delivery team to manage existing and add new components and patterns to Modus.
2. Participate in Tiger Teams to brainstorm, test, design, and propose design solutions to the UX Community.
3. Work with the lead designers to audit existing pattern libraries.
4. Help define guidelines for the Trimble pattern library.
5. Detail design in Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD.
6. Use Miro, Jira and GSuite to deliver design specifications.
7. Create prototypes to test concepts.
8. Write UI spec documentation.
9. Answer development and QA emails and call for design clarification.
10. Participate in team meetings and learn about other projects.

What we expect from you:

1. A degree in graphic or visual design, UX design, interaction design or a graduate of a UX bootcamp with a visual design background.
2. Experience with UX in Agile environment.
3. Experience with user research, empathy for the user, and passion for great user experience.
4. Attention and love for beautiful detail.
5. Team spirit.
6. An eagerness to learn about all things UX/UI.
7. Capacity to learn by doing, and willingness to accept direction.
8. Willingness to contribute your own creativity and originality.
9. Fluency with common design products such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
10. Light HTML/CSS skills.

Salary Range: $80K -- $150K

Minimum Qualification: Design & UX

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications
