Senior Specialist, UX Designer – Denver, CO
Are you passionate about Customer Experience in FinTech? Do you have experience designing digital products that delight consumers and add business value? Then it’s time to join the Western Union’s Value Added Services function as Senior Specialist, UX Designer.
The Western Union User Experience Design team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Specialist, UX Designer to support our newly created Retail product pillar. The Retail product team is responsible for creating innovative business-to-customer payment products that allow our Western Union agents to service customers with the greatest experience possible.
Role Responsibilities
- Work closely with research, senior stakeholders, product managers and engineering teams to brainstorm and co-create ideas, approaches, and solutions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Sketch / Figma, along with our established Design System.
- Ensure that designs follow best practices and use research & testing to inform and validate.
- Confidently challenge the status quo, encouraging all involved to address root causes to ensure the best outcome for users.
- Apply a positive and constructive attitude when giving and receiving all feedback.
- Deliver high-quality design assets to the engineering team, along with clear guidance to ensure all aspects of the designs are fully understood.
- Provide ongoing support to engineering, with regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality and that the system is being built as designed.
Role Requirements
- 3+ years of industry UX Design experience.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and problem-solving.
- Outstanding skills in professional design tools - Figma experience is a must.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, or related field or equivalent professional experience.
- A strong portfolio of innovative design work that demonstrates industry-leading design and business success.
- Keen interest in, or knowledge of, banking or finance.
- Experience in POS and/or retail, KIOSKs etc.
- You will need an online portfolio of your work to apply for this role.
Salary
The on-target earnings range is $99,165- $145,200 per year, which includes a base salary and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
