UX Specialist Job at Centurion Consulting Group in Woodlawn

We are hiring for a UX Specialist to support a multi-year federal program in Woodlawn, MD. Successful candidates must be able to work 2-3 days ONSITE at the government facility. Candidates must be within a 2-hour commuting radius of the government onsite facility.

Key Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles; documenting user requirements; user needs/pain points; Interaction/Interface design experience utilizing user-centered methods; designing and conducting formative various user research tests.

Position Description:

1. Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.
2. Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders.
3. Facilitate customer discovery sessions.
4. Create Conceptual Models, Journey Maps, Personas, and Scenarios of Use.
5. Create and refine screen prototypes.
6. Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.

Required:

• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical topics and interface with the customer on a daily basis.
• Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings.
• Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review.

Desired:

• Experience using Axure RP prototyping software.
• Experience with AdobeXD prototyping software.
• Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms.
• Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology.
• Understanding of responsive design.
• Prior experience supporting government agencies.
• Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design.
• Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly).

Education:

Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience.

Position Details:

Clearance: Ability to Obtain a Public Trust.

US Citizenship or Authorization to work in the US required.

Travel: < 10% (CONUS).
