Position Description:

We are looking for a developer within the MSFS IT team. The roles involve:

1. Developing UI (C#.Net - Winforms + WPF and HTML5) components that meet the business requirements in an effective and efficient manner.
2. Debugging/Developing stored procedures and queries on Sybase RDBMS.
3. Directly interfacing with business analysts to understand requirements and provide solutions.

An ideal candidate will demonstrate excitement for technology and business. S/he will also be able to handle competing demands on time and manage his/her work to deadlines. Flexibility in outlook is essential, as there will be a lot of interaction with business users and global development teams in different time zones.

Primary Skills Required:

1. Software development skills in C# (WinForms + WPF) and database (preferably Sybase) exposure.
2. Novice/Beginner level scripting skills.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Strong computer science and data structure fundamentals.
5. Appreciation for design patterns and anti-patterns.
6. Appreciation for teamwork.

Secondary Skills Desired:

1. Web development experience, preferably with Flex/HTML5 (Angular.js).
2. Openness to learning new technologies.
3. Understanding of the investment banking and finance domain.
4. Experience working in a global team.
5. Preference for candidates who have participated in projects that involved automating business workflow processes end-to-end on a software project.

Education and Experience:

Master’s/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 3 to 6 years of experience.
