What you will do

Johnson Controls is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Product Manager to join our team, focusing on video surveillance software security products. As a mid-level individual contributor, you will play a crucial role in the development and management of our video surveillance software product line, ensuring it meets market needs and drives business growth.

How you will do it

• Product Development: Collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to develop and enhance video surveillance software products. Ensure products meet quality standards and customer requirements.
• Market Research: Conduct market research to understand customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Use insights to inform product strategy and development.
• Product Roadmap: Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key features, enhancements, and timelines. Prioritize initiatives based on business value and customer impact.
• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather feedback, understand pain points, and validate product concepts. Use customer insights to drive continuous improvement.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and optimize product performance.
• Documentation and Training: Create and maintain product documentation, including user guides, technical specifications, and training materials. Support sales and marketing teams with product knowledge.
• Stakeholder Communication: Communicate product updates, progress, and challenges to stakeholders. Ensure alignment with business goals and manage expectations.

What you will need
Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager, preferably in video surveillance or security products.
• Strong understanding of camera and video surveillance technologies and security industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with agile methodologies and product management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
