Client needs a resource to perform specialized programming and technical work for website in Drupal.

Complete Description:

The Client is seeking to acquire a Web Developer to support the day-to-day projects within the Digital Service Team. Some of the primary responsibilities of this role would include requirements analysis, designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications and components. The Web Developer role requires a service-oriented mentality, high ownership of the problems and requests assigned, focus on managing and resolving issues in alignment with the SLAs, establishing and maintaining communication with technology customers to keep them updated with request status. Initiating and performing changes on production systems and proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes. Will work closely with client and various District agencies to define needs or issues and analyze problems and advise on or recommend solutions.

Responsibilities:

1. Install and update Node packages.
2. Review pull requests on GitHub.
3. Translate verbal and written requirements from stakeholders into working products.
4. Help with QA testing and bug hunts.

Requirements:

The technical skills you need:

1. A front-end framework such as GatsbyJS or NextJS.
2. HTML and CSS.
3. Expertise with Drupal 9+ (especially Twig templates).
4. Experience with common programming design patterns (e.g., Strategy, Adapter, Decorator, Observer, etc.).
5. Familiarity with project management software such as Jira, Basecamp, or Wrike.

Skills:

1. 6-10 yrs. performing specialized (often advanced) programming and technical development for the Internet. Required 6 Years
2. 6-10 yrs preparing complex technical documentation. Required 6 Years
3. Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience. Required
4. HTML5 / CSS3 / XML (L-4). Required 8 Years
5. PHP (L-4) and Drupal (L3). Required 5 Years
6. Bootstrap 4. Required 5 Years
7. Angular: web development framework (L-4). Required 8 Years
8. Web Development. Required 8 Years
9. Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, RPC). Highly desired 5 Years

Compensation: $58.00 per hour
