This position is responsible for creating, editing, and managing comprehensive documentation that serves as an essential resource throughout project development and implementation lifecycles, including but not limited to: client project proposals, Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, operations and maintenance manuals, and technical training material. May also assist with developing a variety of documents including process and policy documentation, creating templates for internal company use, forms for customer use, release notes, online help, and similar documents. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts, ability to analyze and organize information into clear, user-friendly documentation, excellent writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical Communications, Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum two (2) years of technical writing experience is required.
- Experience in the energy industry or similar field is preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Candidates must provide a written example of their technical writing skills.
- Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to convey them clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Office suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro required, expert level preferred in Microsoft Word. Proficiency in additional documentation and e-learning tools a plus.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong ability to work with teams (engineers, operators, managers, etc.) to gather information and clarify technical details.
- Must be able to travel occasionally.
