About the Team:
Coupang’s Global Communications team serves as the voice of the company informing the public about our latest innovations, services, and how we wow our customers. We are looking for creative, passionate communicators who can think from a company-wide perspective, helping us share Coupang’s story with the world.
About the Role:
In this role, you will focus on developing content to support our U.S. PR goals as a member of the Global Communications team. As a critical hire that will power our content creation engine, you will research, write, edit, and publish press releases, blogs, case studies and op-eds for a variety of channels including our corporate websites (Coupang Newsroom) and social channels. You may also engage with Coupang’s international Media Relations teams to ensure consistent messaging for our audiences around the world.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Write blog posts, press releases, case studies and develop additional content to reinforce Coupang’s key messages with target audiences and stakeholders in the U.S.
- Research, source and develop content for use on Coupang’s owned media channels in the U.S.
- Create pitches, develop newsletters and ghost-write op-eds for earned media opportunities as well as thought-leadership pieces for LinkedIn.
- Contribute written content for annual ESG report by creating compelling stories that highlight the company’s efforts to further improve sustainability, employee well-being, communities in which we operate, and win-win structures with our partners.
- Partner with internal teams to review and edit scripts for company videos.
Key Experience:
- 7 - 9 years of experience in Public Relations and/or Journalism.
- Exceptional writing skills and the ability to simplify complex information in a clear and accessible manner.
- Creative storyteller with a demonstrated passion for crafting compelling narratives and producing impactful content.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and to prioritize while paying attention to details.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate, build and maintain relationships with remote teams across the company.
- Proven ability to work with senior executives and team leads to develop key messages.
- In addition to functional expertise and impeccable writing skills, the ideal candidate must be business-savvy and able to see the world through the lens of multiple stakeholders, including senior executives, consumers from multiple geographies, industry experts, and our growing community of business partners.
Pay & Benefits
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation.
The base pay for this position ranges from $114,030/year in our lowest geographic market to $211,770/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
