Job Description

Document systems and processes in use within the Internet System Services group to provide service for Internet customers.

1. Meet with Manager Internet System Services to establish technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for publication.
2. Meet with Manager and Subject Matter Experts within the team to gather technical information about identified systems and processes.
3. Prepare technical documentation reflecting collected information in a format usable for future employees and other groups within the organization.
4. Organize material and complete writing assignment according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style and terminology.
5. Maintain records and files of work and revisions.

Qualifications

1. Basic understanding of ISP infrastructure (DNS, RADIUS, DHCP, CPE management) required.
2. Basic understanding of LDAP and SQL systems required (OpenLDAP and MySQL preferred).
3. Previous experience working in an ISP environment preferred.
4. Information Systems or Computer Science Bachelor Degree required.

Skills

1. Excellent oral and written communication skills with both technical and user focuses.
2. Ability to work independently and manage one's time.
3. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
4. Knowledge of media production, communication and disseminating techniques and methods.
5. Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
