About our Team
The Documentation Team supports product development, data acquisition, and content quality assurance. Our team members work collaboratively to provide quality written materials, focusing on documentation, research, data analysis, and training.
About the Role
As a Technical Writer Intern, you will assist the Documentation Team in creating training material. Duties include removing Personally Identifiable Information (PII) from court documents, replacing PII with fictional information, assisting with Wiki page reviews, and proofreading peer-written documents. You may also create, edit, or maintain technical documentation such as user manuals and reference guides.
The program runs from May 19, 2025, to July 25, 2025, and is open to junior students graduating in May 2026. This internship is based in Alpharetta, GA, with no relocation assistance provided.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with an experienced technical writer to support the Certification Packet Update project.
- Conducting research and gathering information from various sources to ensure accurate documentation.
- Collaborating with the Senior Technical Writer to review the Best Practices wiki pages for accuracy.
- Performing basic reviews of peer-written documents.
- Developing easy-to-understand content for various audiences.
- Reviewing and revising content based on feedback from stakeholders.
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to discussions.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a bachelor's student in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, graduating in May 2026.
- Basic understanding of content management systems and version control systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
- Results-oriented with the ability to prioritize deliverables.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality work.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
