Summary
The Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF) is calling for applications from scientists who are active, emerging biomedical/health researchers in Sub-Saharan African countries to participate in its fully online Essential Grant Writing Skills Programme. The programme will be held during the weeks of 5th June and 24th July 2023.
Eligibility
Early career researchers, citizens of a country in Africa, awarded a research doctorate (PhD/DPhil/MD) within the previous 6 years (on or after 1 January 2017) OR a medical/clinical qualification PLUS a research-relevant Master’s degree, awarded on or after 1 January 2017; currently employed in a research institution in Africa; have not participated already in equivalent proposal development/grant-writing training; do not already have a significant portfolio of international research grants (combined value of £250,000 or more).
Application Process
Completed online application form, with signature sheet signed by sponsor/mentor; copy of passport; copies of educational certificates; support letter from sponsor or mentor.
