Visionist, Inc. is hiring: Entry-level Software Engineer (UI Focus) in Fort Mead

Visionist has an exciting new, fully FUNDED opportunity for a Software Developer on our largest PRIME contract. Our team of Analysts and Engineers is motivated by the direct impact on the mission, crafting specialized tools for enhanced efficiency and quick iterations for our operations user base. Your contributions are…

1. Work with analyst & operator customers to identify new open-source data collection opportunities
2. Perform initial R&D and write Python-based workflows to collect against open-source data repositories to demonstrate mission opportunity & value
3. Understand & improve existing collection workflows and work with SA/SE teams to increase resiliency, uptime, and data quality
4. Parse JSON, CSV, and similar data formats
5. Knowledge of web-based architectures, NoSQL database technology, data ingest tools (e.g. Apache NiFi), search tools, and/or web-UI frameworks

Requirements for your new career…

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field. (Additional 4 years of experience may substitute degree)
2. 3 years of experience in software development
3. Experience with Java, Git, and Maven (or similar build automation/dependency management tools)
4. Proficiency in at least one of the following: JavaScript frameworks (Vue.Js, React, Angular, etc.), Spring (Boot, Rest/MVC), NoSQL DBs (Mongo, Elasticsearch, Redis, Graph DB, etc.), and/or Apache NiFi
5. Experience with development in Linux environment
6. Willingness to learn

Salary range: $100,000 - $160,000
