As a Contract UX Lead/Researcher, you will be responsible for leading the user experience research and design efforts within our healthcare education technology company on a contractual basis. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and user-centered digital products that meet the needs of healthcare professionals. By conducting extensive user research, design, prototyping, and usability testing, you will help shape the user experience strategy and ensure that our products are effective, efficient, and enjoyable to use.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and user-centered digital products that meet the needs of healthcare professionals.
- Conduct extensive user research, design, prototyping, and usability testing to help shape the user experience strategy.
- Lead the end-to-end user research process, including planning, conducting, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative research studies.
- Identify user needs, goals, and pain points through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Translate research findings into actionable insights and design recommendations to inform product development.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to create user-centered design solutions that align with business goals and technical constraints.
- Develop and maintain user experience guidelines, design patterns, and best practices to ensure consistency and usability across products.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform design decisions.
- Advocate for the user by effectively communicating user research findings and design recommendations to stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to ensure that the user experience aligns with the overall brand and messaging.
- Create low to mid-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize and test design concepts.
- Design user flows and navigation structures to ensure that users can easily and efficiently accomplish their tasks and goals.
- Create intuitive and engaging interactions and transitions that enhance the user experience and guide users through the key workflows of the product.
- Continuously refine and improve designs based on user feedback, stakeholder input, and other data analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in human-computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in user experience research and design, preferably within the healthcare or education technology industry.
- Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in conducting various research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, and card sorting.
- Expertise in qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques.
- Proficiency in tools such as Axure, Figma, UXPin, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, or other prototyping and design software.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively articulate research findings and design recommendations to stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Experience with accessibility standards and guidelines is a plus.
Benefits
Salary: $55 - 65 per hour
