Are you a passionate game developer with a pioneering mindset? Do you thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments and love the thrill of creating something new? If so, Zynga, one of the largest and most innovative mobile game development studios, is seeking a passionate, motivated, and expert Executive Producer to join our cutting-edge Core Game Division for an unannounced new game.

As a member of the game’s senior leadership team, the Executive Producer will be instrumental in creating and executing on the plan to launch the game and, once live, driving the commercial success of the title. This role will be responsible for establishing and navigating the roadmap for a full free-to-play business model and for discussing, advocating for, and determining the strategic elements needed for the title to be an ongoing success.

The ideal Executive Producer candidate is experienced at managing a large team of direct and indirect reports and has a good understanding of a wide range of leadership, management, communication, and production practices. The candidate also needs to be able to help drive and motivate the team and cultivate a positive team culture. Ultimately, this candidate will be a problem solver and not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get their hands dirty.

Main Responsibilities

  • Work with key reports to create an organizational structure, processes, and project plans that allow the team to produce high-quality work efficiently on time and on budget.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams and partners to proactively achieve results and outcomes.
  • Articulate goals and team principles to help form a stimulating and fun work environment and culture.
  • Identify and help guide the team around potential hazards that arise during the game development process.
  • Define and set best practices and ensure they are communicated across the team.
  • Help the game team navigate all stages of the development process.
  • Build and strengthen communication between teams and locations.
  • Own the quality of the product and be the player advocate to the team.
  • Foster a positive culture.
  • Effectively communicate the core experience of the game to other parts of the Zynga organization.
  • Maintain flexibility and adaptability.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience leading and guiding multidisciplinary teams through all stages of development with at least 2 games shipped as Executive Producer, Development Director, or Game Director. Mobile experience preferred.
  • Understand how to lead multi-disciplinary teams to create and grow great games.
  • Extensive knowledge of and fluency in the game development process from concept through live operations.
  • Able to motivate, support, and guide others to attain successful outcomes and business objectives.
  • Experience with various project management tools; Jira is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong analytical skills, along with keen attention to detail.
  • Problem solver.
  • This position reports directly to the Divisional EP for the organization.
