Overview

The Senior Vice President of Performance Media is responsible for the development and execution of comprehensive media strategies that drive measurable business performance across digital channels. The role focuses on optimizing media spend to maximize ROI, customer acquisition, retention, and overall performance across SEM, SEO, Social, and Programmatic. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, analytics, creative, and client teams, to ensure alignment with broader business goals.

Responsibilities

Strategic Transformation:
    • Develop and execute a holistic performance media strategy to drive customer acquisition, conversion, and retention across paid channels in the retail vertical
    • Set and monitor KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and optimizing performance for scalability and growth.
    • Serve as a key point of contact for senior leadership regarding performance media strategies and results

Team Leadership:
    • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of media specialists, analysts, and campaign managers.
    • Build a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging experimentation, testing, and optimization
    • Collaborate with senior leaders across other departments to align efforts and drive holistic growth.

Client Management
  • Foster strong relationships with the clients, understand their business realities, and deliver upon their needs and expectations
  • Work across multiple client teams to ensure the various stakeholders are aligned with the agency team's strategic vision and invested in the appropriate performance outcomes

Budget & Resource Allocation:
    • Oversee a significant media budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across various channels, campaigns, and platforms.
    • Drive cost-effective strategies while achieving optimal media performance.
    • Analyze spending patterns and media efficiency to adjust spend and tactics in real-time.

Performance Optimization:
    • Continuously optimize media campaigns based on data insights to improve cost-per-acquisition (CPA), return on ad spend (ROAS), and other relevant metrics.
    • Lead A/B testing, audience segmentation, and creative optimization initiatives to improve campaign performance.

Innovation & Industry Trends:
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging platforms, and innovative marketing technologies to drive new growth opportunities.
    • Evaluate and test new media channels, partnerships, and technologies to ensure the company remains at the forefront of performance-driven marketing.


Qualifications

    • 10+ years of experience in performance marketing or media, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
    • Proven track record in leading and optimizing performance media strategies across digital channels.
    • Deep understanding of digital media platforms, advertising technologies, and attribution modeling.
    • Experience managing large media budgets and driving results across customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
    • Agency experience a must
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities.
    • Expertise in media planning, performance marketing, and digital analytics platforms included but not limited to; SA360, Meta Business Manager, Adobe, Gain Theory, TikTok, Snap, Pinterest, Reddit, ProductsUp, and Dataroma
    • Leadership and people management skills with a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Compensation Range: $176,700 - $263,655 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
