Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Public Relations & Marketing Management
- Develop & Execute PR Programs: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and manage marketing and public relations activities aimed at maintaining and increasing facility census while providing the community with information about the facility's programs and services.
- Community Engagement: Foster relationships with the community, including civic and community leaders, to promote the facility and its charitable activities.
- Media Relations: Coordinate with media outlets to highlight new programs, promotions, and events that benefit both the facility and the community.
Policy Development & Compliance
- Confidentiality & Privacy: Ensure that written policies and procedures align with current Privacy Rules and Regulations regarding the release of information about residents, employees, and the facility.
- Policy Review: Conduct annual reviews of marketing and public relations policies, updating as needed to remain compliant and effective.
- Internal Communication: Organize internal communications such as bulletin boards, newsletters, and meetings to maintain staff engagement and share facility updates.
Customer Satisfaction & Reporting
- Satisfaction Surveys: Assist in developing, implementing, and tracking customer satisfaction surveys to gauge the community's perception of the facility's services.
- Interpret Policies: Act as a liaison to interpret policies and procedures for staff, residents, family members, and visitors, ensuring clarity and compliance.
Creative & Program Support
- Support Resident Programs: Provide creative input for the activity and social services departments in the development of resident programs, publications, and events.
- Resource Materials: Ensure that all informational materials (brochures, manuals, etc.) are accurate, descriptive, and up to date.
Emergency Preparedness & Communication
- Crisis Communication: Manage the release of information during emergencies, ensuring it follows established protocols and maintains accuracy.
- Administrator Updates: Keep the Administrator informed of media coverage that could impact the facility or its operations.
Training & Development
- In-Service Training: Assist department directors in planning, conducting, and scheduling training programs that support the facility's marketing and public relations initiatives.
Facility Environment & Culture
- Positive Atmosphere: Create and maintain a warm, calm, and positive environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Ergonomics & Safety: Follow and promote ergonomic policies to prevent injuries and maintain a safe working environment.
Budget & Resource Allocation
- Budget Management: Prepare a departmental operating budget and allocate resources to support public relations and marketing activities.
Confidentiality & Ethics
- Maintain Confidentiality: Uphold the confidentiality of resident care and protected health information (PHI), reporting any suspected breaches.
- Resident Rights: Interpret and enforce resident rights to staff and families as appropriate.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in various committees as directed by the Administrator.
- Assist with other duties as necessary to support the facility's operations and public relations efforts.

- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external stakeholders
