Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Social Media Director to lead our social media team, shape digital strategies, and deliver impactful campaigns. As the Social Media Director, you will oversee multiple accounts, collaborate with PR teams, develop and implement social media strategies, and mentor your team to ensure exceptional performance. This role requires at least 8 years of experience in social media marketing, a proven track record of driving results, and strong leadership skills. The Social Media Director will report directly to the VP and CEO, contributing to the agency's growth and development beyond client accounts. What You’ll Be Doing (Job Responsibilities): Leadership: Provide senior-level guidance to clients and internal teams to ensure goals and expectations are met and exceeded. Lead, mentor, and inspire the social media team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and growth. Take ownership of client retention, revenue benchmarks, and long-term account success. Proactively identify challenges and opportunities, delivering solutions and strategic recommendations. Think strategically about the agency as a whole, focusing on growth, operational improvements, and new revenue streams. Collaborate closely with the PR Account Director to ensure integrated strategies and cohesive messaging. Business Development: Support new business efforts, including pitching, proposal development, and onboarding. Manage renewals and upsell opportunities within current client accounts, expanding services and increasing revenue. Develop and implement strategies to attract new clients and contribute to overall business growth. Build and maintain relationships with potential clients and industry partners to identify new opportunities. Strategic Oversight: Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies aligned with client goals and KPIs. Oversee campaign planning, content development, and implementation, ensuring measurable results. Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing data-driven insights for optimization. Guide paid social media strategies and influencer partnerships to maximize reach and engagement. Client Relations: Build and maintain trusted, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and value-driven recommendations. Act as a primary decision-maker and strategic advisor for senior-level client needs. Address client challenges and concerns with professionalism, offering creative solutions. Project and Account Management: Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables to ensure seamless execution across accounts. Oversee high-volume, fast-paced accounts while delegating tasks effectively to ensure team success. Implement and refine internal processes to ensure efficiency and excellence. Content and Media Strategy: Oversee the development of creative content, including graphics, video, and written posts tailored to each platform. Support influencer partnerships, brand collaborations, and paid advertising strategies. Stay ahead of trends and platform updates to inform strategies and recommendations. Quality Control: Review and approve all social media deliverables to ensure alignment with goals, messaging, and standards. Provide detailed feedback and editing to maintain the highest level of quality. We’d Love to Hear from You If You Have (Job Requirements): 8 years of experience in social media marketing, with a focus on hospitality, food, beverage, or travel industries. Proven ability to lead multiple accounts and deliver results in a fast-paced agency environment. Strong business development skills, including pitching and proposal writing. Experience in upselling and expanding services within existing client accounts. Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Expertise in social media tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later, Meta Business Suite, and Google Analytics. Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and a passion for storytelling. Highly organized, with the ability to manage shifting priorities and delegate effectively. Experience in managing individuals or a team.
