The Role We are looking for a documentary filmmaker who can create compelling, engaging, and authentically human stories for our in-house film production company. You will be responsible for developing, filming, and editing documentaries that showcase the impact and value of our products and services. You will mostly be telling Customer Stories. But our boutique team of Swiss Army Knives will also need your cinematography and editing support on a variety of film projects. Location + This is a remote position open to candidates located anywhere in the U.S. + This role will require ~50% travel The Main Responsibilities + Research and pitch documentary ideas that align with our brand vision and goals. + Plan and execute all aspects of documentary production, including pre-production, filming, editing, and post-production. + Use your cinematography skills to capture high-quality footage that conveys the story and emotion of the subjects, your editing skills to craft a coherent and captivating narrative that engages the audience and delivers the key messages, your journalistic skills to conduct in-depth interviews with customers and other stakeholders, and to verify the accuracy and credibility of the information, and your storytelling skills to develop a clear and compelling point of view and to convey your own voice and perspective. + Collaborate with the Associate Creative Director and other team members to ensure the documentary meets the creative and strategic objectives. + Manage and maintain the film equipment and materials, and ensure compliance with the budget and timeline. + Travel to various locations as needed to film the documentary subjects and scenes.
