Job Summary/Description:

KNOE-TV 8 is searching for the next Streaming/Broadcast Content Producer to join our award-winning, fun-loving team. The ideal candidate is a driven journalist with strong writing skills, who can handle multi-platform content responsibilities. You will interact with all newsroom personnel to present dynamic and focused broadcast and streaming newscasts. Strong writing, organization, and attention to detail are central to the success of this position.

Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Demonstrate excellent writing, copy-editing and storytelling skills
- Write accurate digital articles and broadcast stories in a fair and accurate manner
- Edit video/audio for air on television and streaming
- Understand and adhere to the Associated Press style for digital platforms, along with adhering to the broadcast writing style for television
- Break news with accurate and timely push notifications through the KNOE apps
- Craft thorough and eye-catching text, photo, and video posts for Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms
- Research story ideas from viewer calls, emails, or direct messages
- Brainstorm and carry out creative ideas to increase web traffic and audience engagement
- Operate KNOE's Connected Television Live Desk to stream events for the audience
- You'll be responsible for story selection and writing stories using available video, interviews, graphics, and other resources to convey what is happening in a way that viewers can understand
- Collaborate and communicate with reporters, other digital team members, producers, anchors, reporters, and managers to gather content for online and on-air

Qualifications/Requirements:

- The successful candidate will be creative, extremely detail-oriented, and have very strong problem-solving, multi-tasking, and communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude in a fast-paced and dynamic environment under deadline pressure
- Able to work well with a team
- Flexible to work mornings, nights and weekends
- Working knowledge of web and social media platforms
- A desire to grow in a newsroom
- A bachelor's degree in communications or journalism
- At least one internship in a newsroom is a plus
- Strong grasp of visual design, grammar, and spelling
