Job Description

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, your work is more than just a job. The Content Producer is a driven and creative person with a vision to improve and maintain a strong social media and marketing presence. Your contributions will play a pivotal role in executing a marketing strategy by creating and administering content, ensuring consistency in voice and brand writing copy for marketing communications, including but not limited to blog posts, emails, social media, e-newsletters, web content and print collateral for Wycliffe's in-house marketing department. The content producer will thrive in a fast-paced, agency-style environment and should be excited about helping new audiences learn about Bible translation. This person should understand how to optimize compelling generated content with a desire to work toward achieving team goals and expanding personal skill sets.

You'll partner with Marketing leadership and other team members to:
  • Craft a narrative for Bible translation that tells the exciting story of Bible translation with excellence
  • Reach new audiences that don't yet know about our work
  • Engage audiences with exceptional experiences
  • Develop a connected journey for those already engaged in Bible translation
  • Journey as an innovative team of marketers finding compelling ways to tell the story of God's steadfast love

Responsibilities

You'll make an impact as you:
  • Faithfully and regularly pray for the ongoing work of Bible translation and for people from around the world to experience transformation.
  • Act as an organizational representative presenting the global ministry of Wycliffe and encouraging interested individuals, organizations and churches to participate in the work of Bible translation.
  • Work alongside the marketing leadership team and other team members, to:
    • Live out the conviction that "work flows through relationship" by passionately "loving God and loving people" through word and deed. Promote team and organizational culture standards, ensuring high customer service standards.
    • Collaborate on departmental initiatives to provide a best-in-class experience for Wycliffe USA future and existing staff. Assist with cross-functional team responsibilities, tactical teams/departmental initiatives.
    • Foster a collaborative environment by engaging with marketing team members, content creators, and technical staff to ensure all projects are aligned with organizational marketing strategies, executed to the highest standards and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other team members on writing and curating engaging media that align with brand guidelines, mission and audience interests across the company website and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering comments and inquiries in an urgent and timely manner with friendly, knowledgeable responses.
  • Stay on top of nonprofit social media marketing best practices, search engine optimization (SEO) trends, and writing and editing practices for appropriate voice and AP Style.
  • Work closely with the Director of Content Marketing on executing the overarching social media strategy for Wycliffe USA and its partners to increase brand awareness, lead generation and fundraising efforts.
  • Write, edit and proofread a variety of documents for marketing communications such as emails, blog posts, e-newsletters, ad copy, social media, web content and print publications.
  • Design for social media utilizing templates and social media best practices.
  • Help with archival maintenance of created content as required.
  • Interface with website team regarding content distribution and website updates.
  • Interface with project managers, partners and editorial team members for direction and feedback.
  • Follow Wycliffe editorial style rules and brand guidelines, as well as Associated Press Stylebook.
  • Follow Wycliffe marketing procedures and formatting.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends, platform updates and new tools to ensure innovative and competitive strategies.
  • Other duties as assigned for Wycliffe USA and its affiliates.
  • Travel Requirements: Some travel may be expected for this position.
  • Schedule Requirements: Occasional work outside of traditional business hours as needed for special events, time-sensitive inquiries, etc.
  • Other Requirements: Remote work arrangement available. Must have a strong, reliable internet and phone connection, and be based in the U.S.

  • Physical Demands: Ability to spend significant amounts of time using a computer, video conferencing software and/or phone. Color vision required.


Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field plus at least two years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ministry and/or nonprofit experience preferred.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $25.15. Actual pay rate may be higher based on various factors such as qualifications, skills and experience, required training, licensure and/or certifications, budget, and allocation, if applicable. Additionally, the range for this position is based upon and considers Wycliffe's non-profit ministry environment.
