Reporting to the Marketing Operations Manager, the Presentation Design Specialist will be responsible for supporting the development of key firm presentations, including but not limited to client presentations, court and regulatory authority materials, pitches, proposals, internal and external speaking engagement presentations and other materials designed in PowerPoint, while adhering to the firm’s brand guidelines and leveraging existing resources and templates. Serving as the firm’s go-to PowerPoint expert, this role will deliver PowerPoint design support directly to lawyers, as well as internal departments such as marketing, HR, recruiting, DEI, etc.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conceptualize and design dynamic PowerPoint presentations utilizing existing templates and brand assets
- Creatively translate and convey complex data points through graphic elements such as timelines, infographics, diagrams, charts, graphs, maps, tables and text
- Implement design principles such as layout, alignment, color theory, typography, and visual hierarchy to create visually appealing and effective presentations
- Maintain the firm’s brand and style guidelines when creating materials
- Convert existing PowerPoint and Google Slides presentations to current PPT templates, ensuring consistent formatting and complying with firm standards
- Resolve issues with imagery and logos and clarify confusing layouts and ineffective design elements
- Create and maintain a library of additional PowerPoint templates to reflect the firm’s branding, evolving needs, and design trends in the marketplace
- Ensure presentation materials are professional, polished, and technically sound for a variety of formats (e.g., live presentations, virtual presentations, and printed decks)
- Collaborate with marketing and legal case teams to translate complex content into clear visuals
- Serve as the firm’s PowerPoint resource, providing training and best practices to the firm’s attorneys and business professionals
- Work quickly and accurately under tight deadlines, ensuring high-quality and error-free materials
- Other duties as assigned
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of professional experience designing PowerPoint presentations, preferably in a law firm, professional services, or corporate environment
- Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, with in-depth knowledge of design principles and advanced formatting techniques
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Effective time management skills, with the ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and manage multiple projects while prioritizing assignments
- Demonstrate sound judgment and a high level of trustworthiness when handling confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to build rapport with attorneys at all levels, professional staff, and vendors
- Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail
- General knowledge of office equipment and tools
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently but within a team environment
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Flexibility to be available during off-hours as needed to meet urgent deadlines or support high-priority projects

Position Details
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, non-exempt level position. Final rate of pay will be commensurate with the incumbent’s experience, with a targeted hiring range of $38.00 – $46.00 per hour for the CT market and $46.00 – $49.00 per hour for the DC market. Based on a 35-hour work week (the upper range reserved for highly qualified applicants). This position is currently available in our DC or CT office locations only.
