Tipton & Hurst is seeking a Design Studio Manager who will oversee the daily operations of a busy floral design studio at the headquarters location. The successful candidate will create visually appealing floral arrangements, manage inventory, train staff and ensure standards of high quality, incorporating creative floral design skills with business acumen.

Tipton & Hurst is seeking a Design Studio Manager who will oversee the daily operations of a busy floral design studio at the headquarters location. The successful candidate will create visually appealing floral arrangements, manage inventory, train staff and ensure standards of high quality, incorporating creative floral design skills with business acumen.
- Create unique and high-quality floral arrangements for various occasions like weddings, funerals, holidays, and special events.
- Stay updated on current floral design trends and incorporate new techniques into arrangements.
- Design visually appealing floral displays for retail locations.
- Train and mentor floral designers on proper flower handling and design techniques.
- Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to design staff based on skill levels.
- Provide feedback and performance evaluations to ensure quality standards.
- Monitor loral inventory and coordinate with Floral Manager and flower buyers on floral inventory needs.
- Ensure proper storage and care of flowers to maintain freshness to minimize waste.
- Consult customers to understand their needs and design custom floral arrangements.
- Price arrangements accurately and promote add-on sales.
- Be mindful of budget and costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to design studio and floral handling.
Requirements
- 5 years' management experience in the floral industry or as a Floral Designer.
- Strong artistic ability and eye for design
- Proven experience in floral design, including knowledge of various flower types, seasonal availability, and care.
- Leadership and supervisory experience, including staff training.
- Knowledge of floral industry trends.
