Benefits will be available, and details are available at the following link: https://rb.gy/foel75 Job Title: Instructional Design Engineer Location: Mountain View, California (hybrid) Duration: 6 Months Contract We are looking for an Associate Instructional Designer to join our clients team. As an Associate Instructional Designer, you will create high-impact learning materials for companys engineers. These learning materials empower engineers around the world with the best practices they need to reach success. In this role, you will work within a team of Instructional Designers to determine learning objectives, establish clear timelines for deliverables, gather key requirements from partners on engineering and tools teams, recommend the best format to suit the learner experience, and create learning assets that serve core engineering needs. Responsibilities: Partner with Instructional Designers and engineering teams, to update existing coursework aligned with upcoming product updates or build new learning material aligned to new product releases. Identify learning objectives tied to desired engineer behavior outcomes. Draft scripts/content for internal-facing asynchronous assets. Design learning assets, balancing the need to deliver within given timelines while accounting for maintenance sustainability and localization. Continuously incorporate peer review feedback. Manage deliverable deadlines. Top Skills: Instructional Design, Communication and Collaboration skills. 4 years of experience in customer or engineer learning, adult learning, teaching, or technical writing. 4 years experience building e-learning assets in Articulate Rise. Preferred Qualifications: Proven critical thinker. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excels in execution, establishing priorities and meeting swift deadlines in a rapidly changing environment. Experience working on a multi-cultural team. Experience working in the learning, engineering or technical industry. Experience structuring lessons or courses to produce a behavioral outcome. Experience with multimedia or graphic design. Experience working in a technical environment with engineering subject matter experts (technical training not soft skills or business training). Demonstration of a growth mindset. Education: Degree with emphasis on Instructional Design is preferred.
