Role: WordPress Designer/Developer

Location: Chester County, PA- Hybrid

Salary: $85-100k

Clutch is looking for a WordPress Designer/Developer on behalf of their agency client.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to client requirements.
• Ensure seamless integration of plugins and graphics within the WordPress environment.
• Optimize website performance and user experience through careful coding and design practices.
• Develop and implement custom features and functionalities to enhance website performance and user engagement.
• Maintain website security and performance through regular updates and proactive measures.
• Be present for client meetings and consultations to gather requirements and understand project goals.
• Present design concepts and technical solutions to clients, effectively communicating technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for client websites, addressing any technical issues or updates promptly.
• Conduct thorough testing of all websites to ensure functionality, cross-browser compatibility, and accessibility.
• Adhere to best practices in web design and development, including accessibility standards.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in WordPress design and development, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field.
• In-depth knowledge of WordPress, including the WordPress REST API and custom post types.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) or similar digital design software.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices in web design and development.
• Experience with WordPress implementations.
• Experience with SEO and digital marketing best practices preferred.
