$79,800 - $111,720

The Instructional Designer will work as an integral part of a collaborative instructional development team responsible for the assessment, design, development, and evaluation of the Associations education and training programs. The incumbent must be able to independently develop entry and advanced level courses using a variety of multimedia technology and authoring tools.
Responsibilities:
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Develop instructional design plans for training programs, including determining project goals, defining objectives, and clarifying content structure withing the constraints of the project.
- Analyze content, target audience, job tasks, and learner environment to identify appropriate instructional strategies and define learning objectives.
- Gather and analyze input of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop and modify instructional material.
- Identify user needs, analyze and logically organize complex technical information, and transform complex bodies of information into professionally designed, engaging and effective programs.
- Create and establish curriculum development and deployment timelines.
- Work within budgets developed for programs/products.
- Design and develop content that meets the needs of adult learning in a training environment
- Develop interactive training materials that include sound instructional design methodology
- Conduct reviews of deliverable for instructional quality and soundness
- Support the development and contining education of the organization, including conducting train the trainer session on course/program updates and addressing instrucutor needs regarding training materials.
- Assist with internal learning management system (LMS) needs and loading of content
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
Required:
- Bacehlors degree in Instructional Design or related field or equivalent relevant experience
- 5+ years working in an instructional design role with responsibility for end to end creation of instructor led and/or e-learning materials
Preferred:
- Advanced degree preferably in learning and development
- Advanced experience using Articulate Storyline
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of learning theories and ID models, and how/when to employ them.
- Ability to apply and adjust ID models, and the skill to improve and refine them for future use.
- Ability to take a human-centered approach to instruction that places the learner at the center of the experience, matching desired outcomes with the needs of the learners.
- Mastery of various technology tools for designing, delivering and evaluating content.
- Teamwork and the ability to lead and motivate others to produce high-level, brand-driven content.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects while working on a deadline or in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical skills to solve problems and find the best way to convey a message.
