- Student workers must reside within the State of Washington. Remote work outside of Washington will not be permitted.
Reports to: Pamela Mathues
Job Purpose: Assist Junior film students with managing best practices for a 2D/Unreal hybrid production pipeline. TA will also answer questions and be available during some of the scheduled class times.
Class times:
Tuesday - 2 - 4:20 p.m.
Thursday - 10 a.m. - 1:50 p.m.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Advise students regarding pipeline topics
- Be able to answer questions during class labs when faculty is not available
- Be available for a set number of hours outside of regular class time
- Assist in managing the Chat during any online classes
- Work within Teams channels to offer critique and feedback
- Assist with any team space, hardware/software issues as directed by the faculty
- Provide encouragement and advice based on personal experience with PRJ classes
- Accountable for tracking and reporting the amount of time worked
Qualifications/Competencies
- Successfully completed PRJ-300 and PRJ-350/352
- Comfortable with multiple aspects of the film pipeline
- Knowledge of ToonBoom Harmony and/or Storyboard Pro
- Knowledge of the Unreal pipeline
- Willing to do research to support the specific needs of a hybrid team (CG/2D)
- Able to give critique in a professional manner
- Strong communicator
- Reliable, punctual, and invested in the success of their fellow students
- Be able to work independently
Working Conditions:
- Be able to attend one or more of the class times.
- Be able to meet with teams outside of class.
Expected dates of employment: January 6 - April 29, 2025
Expected number of hours per week: 5-10

Wage Range:
$16.66 - 17.75 per hour, depending on number of terms worked at DigiPen
DigiPen Student Employee Academic Requirements:
- Are currently an enrolled student at DigiPen Institute of Technology
- Good Academic Standing - not on Academic Warning as defined in DigiPen Course Catalog
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Taken and passed PRJ-300 and PRJ-350/352RJ-350 courses with a B or better grade, or suitable prior experience
Requirement Exceptions:
It is possible to still be selected for a position with DigiPen if you do not meet the requirements above, so don't let that dissuade you from applying!
Once you have applied for - and the supervisor decides to offer you - a position, we will contact the necessary managers (Supervisor, Department Chair, and/or the Dean of Faculty) to complete and sign off on an Academic Waiver form, depending on which requirements need to be waived. Once the Waiver is returned to us, we'll continue you through the hiring process.
