Moab is a mecca for outdoor adventure seekers. Two national parks, two state parks and the Colorado River are just minutes from downtown. The 3 million annual visitors affect Moab's economy, recreation, and growth. Local and state governments shape policy, and many view the tension between extraction and tourism as representative of what’s happening elsewhere in Utah. A reporter will cover what this tension means to Moabites’ daily lives. Salary and Benefits: $45,000 - $53,000 based on level of experience Employees receive health, dental, and vision insurance. An Employee Assistance Program is also offered at no cost to employees. Other benefits include a 401(k) with a company match after 90 days of employment, parental leave, three weeks of vacation for new employees, two weeks of sick leave, a cellphone stipend, and a company-issued laptop.
