The Details:
Location: Hybrid work Headquartered in Downtown Seattle, remote work possible from AZ, CA, CO, ID, FL, OR, TN, VA, WA.
Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 PT Monday-Friday.
Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

About the Position:
Reporting to the Manager of Curriculum Research, the Curriculum Writer II performs research and writes source documents on training topics for home care workers. These source documents are used by peer teams that include instructional designers, media creators, quality assurance specialists and others to create competency-based learning for the fastest-growing job in the nation. The joint objective of these collaborative teams is to create learning experiences based on what learners really need to succeed in the job while meeting Washington State Administrative Code. The aim is to reduce time to competence and confidence for learners while improving outcomes for clients and the entire healthcare system.

You Will:
- Perform comprehensive research into subject areas that are relevant for home care aides in the long-term care space as they care for older adults and people with disabilities;
- Create detailed documents based on comprehensive research that form the basis of continuing education courses;
- Working independently, be responsible for maintaining the success of each research document from start to finish by managing schedules, deliverable quality and feedback tracking;
- Build subject matter expertise in areas related to long-term care, including knowledge of Washington Administrative Code;
- Review other Curriculum Research team members' documents and provide detailed feedback based on writing principles and knowledge of the home care field;
- Review select materials from instructional designers and media creators to assure accuracy of course content;
- Demonstrate independent problem-solving skills, a solutions-oriented mindset and comfort with ambiguity;
- Effectively communicate to 1on1 and 1with many, with great presentation skills;
- Drive daily work with minimal guidance;
- From time-to-time, perform other duties commensurate with the level of this position.
You Will Need to Have:
- 3-5+ years' experience in a related position;
- 2+ years of experience writing and editing;
- Proven research skills;
- Solid technical writing skills;
- An excellent ability to understand detailed research, synthesize insights, organize ideas and develop original content for a learning audience;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to meet deadlines;
- Knowledge of American Psychological Association (APA) style;
- Ability to follow organization's guidelines and standards;
- Ability to work independently on lengthy writing projects with minimal supervision;
- Effective connection to improving home care jobs to benefit workers, clients and society.
It Would Be Nice If You Had:
- Experience in healthcare, long-term care and/or learning industries;
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in public health, nursing or education.
Salary Range:
- $89,356.91 to $113,194.66
