This position is responsible for the development and management of product imagery and animation for technical documentation and marketing collateral. 3D Technical Artist & Animator produces high-quality product renderings, product line art and both instructional and marketing animations that meets applicable standards and contributes to the organization’s media and marketing strategies.
*This is an onsite position in Newington, NH

Duties & Responsibilities
- Take existing product designs and SolidWorks CAD models and expand details as needed to create 3D product imagery and animations.
- Create line art models and assemblies of products to highlight features for technical instruction, operator manuals and reference guides.
- Using 3D models, create texture, mapping, lighting, and other techniques to create photo-realistic product images, graphics, visual effects, and animations for digital marketing collateral.
- Research and collect information from a variety of sources: SolidWorks 3D models, design specifications, bill of materials, test plans & procedures, etc.
- Create animations and motion graphics to create compelling technical/instructional videos.
- Compose shots into existing video media.
- Assemble, light, and render 3D content for both offline, digital, and interactive content.
- Assist in video and document editing and updates, as needed.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with engineers, designers, photographers, and video editors to meet the high-quality output needs of a project.
- Manage timelines and priorities across multiple projects as required by the Director.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:
- B.S. degree in Graphic Design, Visual Effects, Motion Graphics or related fields preferred.
- 5+ years relevant experience creating 3D renders and manipulating models and assemblies using SolidWorks, SolidWorks Composer, or equivalent software.
- Experience creating 3D animations using Blender or equivalent software.
• Experience within a military research or manufacturing environment is a plus - Excellent eye for composition, photo-realism, and lighting.
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to manipulate and organize CAD data from base assemblies.
- A keen eye for detail and consistency, and the ability to craft work at a high level
- Ability to understand and produce work within brand standards.
- Skilled in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere, InDesign).
- Able to create interactive online product presentations and product configurator tools is a plus.
- Experience developing instructional and educational content.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills to work in a dynamic environment
- Understand the power of good branding and visual storytelling to educate and excite customers.
- Storyboard creation and execution.
- Mature, self-motivated, and resourceful with an outstanding work ethic
- Ability to adapt, test, iterate, and pivot on ideas.
- Understand design applications in traditional and emerging channels.
- Self-starter able to complete projects with minimal supervision with multiple deadlines and tight time constraints.
- An extensive portfolio showcasing strong photo-realistic product imagery, graphics, animations, and visual effects. Please include portfolio links on resume.
- Regular on-site attendance is a necessary function of this position.
