Seeking a Network Telecom Manager to lead a team of skilled engineers who will oversee the management and optimization of the hospital’s network telecom infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in healthcare technology, including platforms such as Zoom, Cisco, Palo Alto, WebEx Calling, and Talkdesk. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the quality of care provided by ensuring the communication systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with the latest industry standards.
Job Responsibilities: ·
Leadership and Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of telecom engineers to ensure optimal performance and availability of telecom systems, including network equipment, VOIP, and communication platforms. Provide direction, oversight, and professional development to engineers working on telecom and network-related projects. Collaborate with other IT teams, clinical departments, and hospital leadership to ensure seamless communication across all hospital operations. ·Network Telecom Infrastructure Management: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telecom infrastructure including Zoom, Cisco, Palo Alto, WebEx Calling, and Talkdesk, ensuring high reliability, security, and performance. Manage network connectivity, system configurations, and integrations with various communication technologies. Plan, implement, and maintain disaster recovery procedures for telecom services. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and security standards related to telecom and communication systems, including HIPAA and other relevant frameworks. Technology Strategy and Innovation: Develop and implement strategies for the continuous improvement of telecom systems, with a focus on enhancing healthcare communications for both patients and staff. Work with cross-functional teams to assess and deploy new communication technologies or platforms that meet the hospital’s needs for both clinical and non-clinical purposes. Conduct regular reviews of emerging trends and best practices in healthcare telecom to recommend innovative solutions for CHOC. Vendor and Budget Management: Manage relationships with telecom vendors and service providers, including Cisco, Palo Alto, Zoom, and Talkdesk, ensuring that contracts and service-level agreements (SLAs) are met. Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to manage telecom-related budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions and compliance with organizational financial goals. Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Serve as a key point of contact for clinical and non-clinical staff regarding telecom issues and technology needs. Provide training and support to users on new telecom technologies and solutions. Ensure the secure and efficient integration of telecom services with electronic health records (EHR) systems and other clinical platforms.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), or similar certifications are preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing network and telecom systems, preferably in a healthcare environment. Strong experience with healthcare-specific telecom solutions such as Zoom for Healthcare, Cisco Unified Communications, WebEx Calling, Talkdesk, and Palo Alto Networks security. Proven track record of managing telecom engineers and working with cross-functional teams. Solid understanding of HIPAA compliance, security protocols, and data privacy regulations related to telecom infrastructure in healthcare settings. Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams. Ability to assess and resolve complex technical issues, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. In-depth knowledge of telecom protocols, VoIP systems, and network infrastructure. Ability to work effectively with vendors and stakeholders across a large, dynamic healthcare organization.
