Role Overview: The Director of Sales & Marketing at

Appellation Healdsburg

is the chief revenue strategist for the hotel, leading all sales, marketing, and revenue management activities.

Responsibilities include direct oversight of the sales and catering teams and management of the above-property revenue management marketing efforts.

A state-of-the-art suite of technology supports the revenue generation, yield management, and guest experience capabilities of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities: Strategic Revenue Leadership Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue and promotion strategy, ensuring alignment with the hotel's vision and goals.Utilize brand technology systems and tools to amplify revenue generation and profit maximization.

Sales and Catering Leadership Directly oversee and guide the sales and catering teams, ensuring targets are met and exceeded. Foster a culture of proactive outreach, relationship-building, and exceptional service delivery.

Above-Property Revenue Management & Marketing Lead above-property revenue management efforts, optimizing pricing, inventory, and promotions. Collaborate with the central marketing team to execute Appellation’s strategy of personalization to drive awareness, attract potential customers, and ensure that the right messages and offers are delivered to the right audience at the right time on the right channel.

Team Collaboration and Leadership Work seamlessly with the hotel and brand staff, ensuring commercial strategies align with broader company objectives. Provide mentorship, training, and growth opportunities to team members, promoting a culture of excellence.

Continuous Improvement Regularly review and analyze performance metrics, making necessary adjustments to strategies and tactics. Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging practices in revenue management, sales, and marketing.

Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in revenue leadership roles within luxury hotels, with a strong emphasis on sales, marketing, and revenue management. Proven track record of leading high-performance teams to achieve and surpass targets. Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to harness technology for data-driven decision-making. Stellar interpersonal and communication capabilities; ability to lead teams and win support for ideas and initiatives. Knowledge of the Healdsburg and Sonoma County hospitality market and luxury demand-drivers highly desired. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field is desirable.

Advanced degree is beneficial but not required.

Compensation Compensation commensurate with experience. General base salary range $140K to $170K + plus bonus and benefits and the opportunity to be a part of our team.
