Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION PURPOSEResponsible for assisting the marketing department in all campaigns and promotions. Provides assistance to the department manager and performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties. Coordinates production of media, advertising, and sales literature. Coordinates participation in community events and production of newsletters. Cultivates new, and maintains existing, relationships for all facets of corporate sponsorships, individual members, and community partners.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIESAssumes responsibility for developing and implementing effective marketing programs.Assists management with planning, coordinating, and executing marketing campaigns.Assists with planning and coordinating annual and special events or seminars.Edits marketing collateral and other marketing materials and/or platforms. Proofs work of others for accuracy and completeness.Maintains inventory or marketing supplies and brochures. Determines when to reorder and places orders to replenish inventories.Analyzes the methods that are successful in developing business. Analyzes the products that best meet member needs.Assumes responsibility for developing and maintaining effective public relations with members, marketing professionals, and external business contacts. Establishes and implements effective communication with outside contacts. Assists in scheduling and/or arranging appointments and meetings. Maintains the department's calendar of events and schedules.Ensures requests and questions are promptly, appropriately, and courteously resolved. Routes requests and questions to appropriate individual when necessary. Takes messages and coordinates follow through.Prepares routine to complex correspondence on a variety of subject matters relating to marketing business. Ensures accuracy of work. Attends various meetings in the community and/or at trade associations to develop new business prospects and promote the credit union. Contacts and visits prospective members or Select Employee Groups to present information on available services in a variety of methods and follow-up methods (i.e. telephone, site visits, letters, emails, and direct mail campaigns). May make presentations on financial services to groups to promote credit union products.Promotes all products and services with cross-selling to meet members' or Select Employee Groups' needs.Plans, creates, and disperses social media content on behalf of the Credit Union. Maintains and projects the credit union's professional reputation by executing its brand standards. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships and coordination with credit union personnel and with management.Provides administrative assistance to the VP of Marketing utilizing a range of computer software applications to include Windows, Mac, and other graphics software.Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Completes required reports, records, and related documents accurately and promptly. Maintains up-to-date and complete paper and electronic files for the department. Attends meetings as required. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.Takes photos during credit union events. Maintains photo and slide show for the credit union.Stays informed of developments in the marketing field and of markets affecting credit union operations.Ensures work area is clean, secure, and well maintained.Completes special projects as assigned. RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSEducation/Certification: Associate's degree in business administration with concentration in marketing preferred, in lieu of experience. Knowledge: Understanding of sales and promotion techniques.Understanding of social media platforms.Experience: One year of marketing and office experience preferred, in lieu of degree. Skills/Abilities: Strong interpersonal and public relations skills.Strong public speaking skills.Excellent organizational and analytical abilities.Solid writing skills. Able to operate computer applications.Able to use graphic arts tools and supplies. Salary Description $48,700 - $60,600
