Are you a skilled writer with a passion for securing funding for impactful causes? We are seeking a talented Grant Writer to join our team and play a vital role in driving our organization's success. As a Grant Writer, you will research, develop, and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research to identify potential funding opportunities that align with our organization's mission and strategic goals.
- Prepare, write, and submit competitive grant proposals that effectively communicate our programs, services, and impact.
- Collaborate with program staff, development teams, and leadership to ensure proposals are aligned with our funding priorities and meet all funder requirements.
- Manage the grant writing process, including tracking deadlines, coordinating with internal teams, and preparing progress reports.
- Serve as a Project Manager, overseeing the planning, development, and submission of grant applications and reports.
- Maintain a grant tracking system to monitor deadlines, submission progress, and grant outcomes.
- Provide internal reports documenting grant writing efforts, funding goals, and results.
- Collaborate with the finance team to develop project budgets and ensure accuracy in financial components of grant proposals.
- Utilize grant management software to efficiently manage and track grant solicitations, applications, and outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or a related field.
- Proven success in securing grants from foundations, corporations, and/or government sources.
- Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner.
- Strong research skills to identify appropriate funding sources.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Understanding of nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
- Proficiency with grant management software and databases (Salesforce.com experience is a plus).
- Passion for the organization's mission and dedication to its field of work is highly desirable.
