Are you a skilled writer with a passion for securing funding for impactful causes? We are seeking a talented Grant Writer to join our team and play a vital role in driving our organization's success. As a Grant Writer, you will research, develop, and write compelling grant proposals to secure funding from foundations, corporations, and government entities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research to identify potential funding opportunities that align with our organization's mission and strategic goals.
  • Prepare, write, and submit competitive grant proposals that effectively communicate our programs, services, and impact.
  • Collaborate with program staff, development teams, and leadership to ensure proposals are aligned with our funding priorities and meet all funder requirements.
  • Manage the grant writing process, including tracking deadlines, coordinating with internal teams, and preparing progress reports.
  • Serve as a Project Manager, overseeing the planning, development, and submission of grant applications and reports.
  • Maintain a grant tracking system to monitor deadlines, submission progress, and grant outcomes.
  • Provide internal reports documenting grant writing efforts, funding goals, and results.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop project budgets and ensure accuracy in financial components of grant proposals.
  • Utilize grant management software to efficiently manage and track grant solicitations, applications, and outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in grant writing, nonprofit fundraising, or a related field.
  • Proven success in securing grants from foundations, corporations, and/or government sources.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Strong research skills to identify appropriate funding sources.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of nonprofit financial management and budgeting.
  • Proficiency with grant management software and databases (Salesforce.com experience is a plus).
  • Passion for the organization's mission and dedication to its field of work is highly desirable.
