Why this role matters:

The Bender JCC seeks a Social Media and Content Manager to spearhead our community's storytelling efforts across our social media and website. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing content that expands our social media presence, grows our digital audience, builds awareness of our community, and drives engagement with our offerings. Accordingly, the ideal candidate will be a gifted, natural, and prolific creator with a proven track record of producing, editing, and distributing high quality content. This is a creative and content management role that requires strong organizational skills, high level of adaptability, ingenuity, and responsibility and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Manage Bender JCC's social media profiles and manage audience engagement and interactions.
  • Create and distribute social media and website content, including text-articles, graphics, and videos.
  • Develop content strategies to drive engagement, website traffic, and revenue.
  • Administer short-and-long-term social media content calendars and publishing schedules.
  • Oversee organic and paid social media campaigns, including planning, execution, and measurement.
  • Promote consistent brand identity and voice across social media and other content campaigns.
  • Launch new and optimize current social media pages to increase awareness of the Bender JCC.
  • Routinely measure and report on content and social media performance.
  • Audit and optimize the Bender JCC's social media and website content for brand voice and relevance.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed, required, or assigned.

You should have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in content marketing, inbound marketing, or social media.
  • A general understanding of SEO and how to use content to reach audiences through organic search.
  • Experience telling social stories across a variety of platforms that utilize brand voice, and proven ability to connect with audiences using that content and brand voice.
  • Proficiency in working with the following technology stacks in a virtual environment: MS Office, Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom (training will be provided as needed).
  • Experience with content creation, email, graphic design, and social media software including: WordPress, Meta Business Manager, Hootsuite, Campaign Monitor, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with analytics platforms: Salesforce, GA4, Google Tag Manager, Meta Business Suite
  • Proven experience managing projects.
  • Capacity to juggle multiple projects and competing deadlines.
  • Photography and/or videography production and editing are a major plus.
Compensation & Benefits

This is a full-time exempt position, with an annual salary between $60,000 - $70,000, commensurate with experience. The Bender JCC provides a benefits package that includes retirement, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits, as well as paid time off and a flexible working environment.
