About the role and who they would be working with

Susannah Holmberg Studios is hiring an interior designer to directly support the principal designer with ongoing residential interior design projects. This is a full-time position, ideally located in Salt Lake City, UT.

The candidate will be quick to pick up on the studio’s design aesthetic, exemplified by creative sourcing, well thought out floor plans, and well executed drawings and mock-ups. They will be highly organized and excel at managing large-scale residential (and sometimes commercial) design projects from start to finish. They will be excellent communicators that are able to keep up with all assigned project details and ensure that all projects and tasks are hitting deadlines. They will excel at carrying out a variety of duties in a small, creative, but fast-paced environment that prioritizes good design and client care.

Responsibilities:

• Help to manage new build or large renovation residential projects

• Design support and aiding in selection of all finishes, soft goods, artwork, decor, etc. for all assigned projects

• Work closely with the principal designer to carry out the design direction for each assigned project; ensure that the design vision is articulated throughout the project to the final, finished design

• Draw designs and layouts in AutoCAD, paying close attention to detail and ensuring designs are in line with studio aesthetic

• Potentially manage an assistant designer

• Collaborate with entire team on design ideas, inspiration, and design details to elevate projects wherever possible

• Ability to problem solve or resolve issues on assigned projects

• Receive constructive feedback from principal designer and make edits or changes to designs, as requested

• Travel to work rooms, sites, and vendor locations for quality check ins, if needed

• Create beautiful, thoughtful design presentations for clients and contractors

• Keep up to date with all project info throughout the process; this includes any edits, changes, revisions, and new project info

• Be a positive role model for others on the team to maintain an healthy, inspiring team culture

• Complete responsibilities in a efficient and timely manner while allowing room for inspiration, creativity, and exploration

• Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation

Benefits:

• $55-$70k annual salary based on skills and experience
