JOB DESCRIPTION Graphic Designer: Position Summary The Graphic Designer is a skilled creative that can work on a variety of projects including ads, print collateral, online materials and adhere to brand guidelines. Experience working with video, social posts, websites and project management tools is a plus. This role should have strong professional and interpersonal skills and be able to communicate clearly and effectively. They should also be able to manage a schedule, task-switch, and prioritize their workload. The position is a hybrid of in-office and working from home. Essential Responsibilities Creating Designs: Experience using software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign Designing layouts: Select colors, images, and typefaces to create layouts for print, web, or multimedia Production: Interpret feedback and make appropriate edits to existing materials Presenting concepts: Present design concepts to clients and incorporate their feedback into final designs Reviewing Designs and Proofreading: Review designs for errors before publishing or printing Flexibility: Manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and quality standards Collaborate with others: Work with communications teams to meet deadlines and stay within budget Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, leveraging insights to drive creative innovation and differentiation Maintaining files: Update and maintain accurate electronic file management with internal file storage procedures Preferred Skills Strong background in design production and page layout Previous experience with brand, marketing, and/or communications teams Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Design, or a related field. 3 - 5 years of experience in creative roles in B2B/B2C industries, with a strong background in design production. Ability to travel to and work in downtown Minneapolis 3 days a week Compelling portfolio showcasing visual design skills and ability to create clear and engaging design materials. Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating visually impactful materials. What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications required? 3-4 years of experience with the following: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud: Advanced skills in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign are essential, as these will be the primary tools used for both production and creative tasks. Strong Production and Design Skills: A solid foundation in graphic production, with an eye for detail, alongside the ability to contribute creatively to design projects like brochures, ads, and reports. The role seeks someone who can grow creatively beyond routine production. Adaptability and Team-Oriented Attitude: The designer should be flexible in handling varied tasks, from production to creative projects and general team support. A collaborative, team-player mentality is essential to thrive within this close-knit team.
